Park Avenue

I could not love these stamps sets more if I tried! I love the new SU Manhattan and Park Avenue sets! In fact I only really wanted 3 sets out of the new catty this year and 2 come from the same line. They are just classy! I tried to embellish this up and couldn't bring myself to do it. I had some ribbon on there and pulled it off after after about 2 seconds. LOL. I broke out the dew drops, the silver bell dew drops to be more precise, and stuck them on there for fun. Brads would have worked out too, I just have a bazillion dew drops I would like to use before I am too old to stamp anymore. Anyway, more reluctance to buy all the new in colors this year is over. I officially have all but tangerine now. By the way, I am stamping again if you hadn't noticed. I may be back into it again for awhile. Finally!!!!

MFT Challenge

Did you know that MFT has challenges? Every week they have a "Who'e That Girl" challenge. They also have sketch challenges and other fun things going on each month. This week it was The Tote-ally Fantastic set. I decided I haven't paper pieced in a long time and went for it. Its not easy. I discovered just how dull my cutterbee scissors had gotten and I went out and got a new pair after this one. I ended up using a craft knife which is hard on my eyes and fingers LOL. I hope you like it.

I must be on a roll

Today on SCS there is a fun but difficult sketch challenge. I wanted to use this owl set and I had to make it fit. I *sacrificed* parts of their cute little bodies to make it work. Shame on me! The paper is from the SU SAB bundle Delicate Dots. I thought I was using Going Grey but after close inspection I realized it was Sahara sand. It probably would have been okay either way. The Owl set is from MFT and is called An Owl For All Seasons, I really like them. They are cute and trendy! I colored over their faces using my clear Spica pen for a little shimmer. i think you can see it on the close up shot. Although I enjoyed making this, I don't think I can handle *inchies* in the future, I needed my glasses to make this one.

Sunshine Thanks

Today's color challenge on SCS was a doozy for me! Wow! Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie and Summer sun. I only just received kiwi yesterday and I haven't gotten used to it yet. The papers helped me alot in this one. I used the SU designer paper Good Morning Sunshine. I struggled with a ribbon match too.I found some velvet ribbon that was a good match and made it work LOL. The SAMJ is a must on this stamp set too. Its the new SU * cheap talk*. So cute! Hope you like it.

New Little One

My dear friend from high school is adopting a little boy from Russia and is going to see him for the first time this coming weekend. I am putting together a package for her to take with her or if it doesn't make it in time it will be there when she gets home. Either way it will be a nice little surprise. I don't have any baby sets except for this Just Hatched set from Papertrey Ink. I am trying to make it work here. Its not really right but its close enough. There are 6 baby outfits in her box so I figure that it will work. I used Papertrey Ink papers as well. I think she will be surprised and excited. I can't wait for her to bring him home. He is actually not a baby, more toddler than baby and he won't get to come home on this first trip. Hopefully this little package will help get her excited for when he does come home.

Snow Bunny

I colored this image weeks ago and never made anything with it until now. I love MFT Flopsy! I did notice the major *Jody* error...er, uh, rule breaker after it was too late to fix and I wasn't throwing the whole thing away! Sorry Jody, Next time I will promise to pay more attention to where the CB folder is smooth and try to cut that side off to match the other side. 50 lashes with a wet sponge for me! I am trying to get my mojo back and its taking longer than anticipated!

Don't anyone faint

But I stamped! valentines day is just around the corner and I figured I better get busy while DH is out of town. Its not the greatest I have ever made but it might be the most naughty. I love the sentiments with this MFT set. I stamped the inside with the sentiment " With love from your despirate housewife". Too fun!
