Cosmo Cricket Paper is to die for

I just love this cute paper from Cosmo Cricket. I think its called Dutch Girl, anyway whatever its called I love it! I am cranking out these tins now! I used a piece of chipboard from the onboard accents chipboard from SU. Covered it in coodinating paper, used Karen Foster Snap stamps to add the recipe sentiment. Lots of ribbon and away I go to another one!

* I am adding the recipe card holder that I made to match this tin. They are designed to be sold as a set. The pin says,"bon appitit" if you can't read it.

Another Tin

I have 5 more of these to alter and get ready to sell in April. I really need to make them faster or it isn't going to be worth it! I love this fun Basic Grey Romani paper, its bright and chearful! The prima in orange just seemed to look good with it.Instead of using the alcohol inks this time, I went with acrylic craft ink for the lid. It was faster and easier but way less dramatic. I think this paper looks better with a simple solid colored lid. Someday I will get around to making the divider cards for the inside.

*Edited to add the matching card clip designed to be sold with this one

Time for a purposeful card

Well it was bound to happen..........she is finally going to be driving a car instead of driving us insane LOL. Tomorrow my only daughter turns sixteen. Phew, where did the time go?!I can't believe it. I was trying to make a card that was cute but not too cute. Sweet, but not sugary sweet. I love the Basic Grey Blush paper and I hoard it, but DD is worthy. Enjoy!

What soda am I?

You Are Dr. Pepper

You're very unique and funky, yet you still have a bit of traditionalism to you.
People who like you think they have great taste... and they usually do.

Your best soda match: Root Beer

Stay away from: 7 Up

What color is my brain?

Your Brain is Green

Of all the brain types, yours has the most balance.
You are able to see all sides to most problems and are a good problem solver.
You need time to work out your thoughts, but you don't get stuck in bad thinking patterns.

You tend to spend a lot of time thinking about the future, philosophy, and relationships (both personal and intellectual).

Valentine

I quickly stamped this valentine for my DH. We typically don't do much for valentines so I made him a card. I may shop for him tomorrow if I feel better.

Ohhh Yeah!!!!

I just went to my mail box and what did I see? I received an ad for Archivers....Coming soon!!!!!! Oh my Gosh! I am so excited. I am getting an Archivers out near my house! They are taking applications for full-time and Partime employment. The ad says apply now. Do I dare? Could I handle it? Could this be my dream job? Do I want a job? Oh I am so excited to have a great store like that near me! It is going to be in the same shopping center as my Mall, Linen's 'N Things, Best Buy, Toys R Us ect.... woohoooo I am so stoked!

Another Altered Lunchbox Tin

Here it is, my newest project. I am considering making these for my moms flea-market booth that opens in April. I haven't decided yet if it would be worth it. Its a lot of work!

Here is a view of the lid from the top. It is a combo of alcohol inks that went on in two steps to acheive the right color. Its very hard to match these colors but I am pleased

I should post something

To all my subscribers.........I apologize. I have been neglecting to stamp or post or journal. Last week I went to my mom's house to help her with her Ebay auction and to show her how to do some digital camera stuff. This week I am sick with a head cold. While I was in San Antonio I went to a stamp store called Stamp Antonio and shopped a little. Well very little actually. There were way too many choices for me to decide! Then I went to a little Scrapstore (I forgot the name) and got the Sweet and Sassy Primas. I didn't buy much but I still had a nice time. Hopefully I will be stamping again soon.

Watercoloring with Fab Paper

Remember me saying I goofed and ruined a fabriano note card? Well, I tore off the bad part and re-purposed it as a piece of watercolor paper. I am stuck on red and apricot for some reason, it just looks cheerful to me. Anyway, I used the markers to color directly on the stamp from Petal Prints, then misted it with water and stamped directly onto the paper. Then I used my aquapainter to splatter the paper. This is a 5"x5" square card that opens on the left. Also used some of Texasjodylynns famous ribbons in Creamsickle and Red. I hope you like it!
