MFT Idol Week 8

This weeks challenge for the MFT Idol contest was to use the new unreleased stamp set "Girl's Night out". I decided to make a card box set with 4 cards using the set. It was harder than it looks. Ha! I have been sick for the past 4 days and didn't really get to work on this until Monday which was really last minute in my world. very stressful for me! Its very hard to photograph the whole set so this is what I came up with. *This card box is created using A Timeless Template from PTI & Lauren Meader.
Pretty in Pink and Basic grey papers. Colored with copic markers. Heidi Swapp ghost flower, Paper Studio glitter brad, May Arts ribbons, SU tag makers, and SU designer prints papers.

Pattern Paper is from MFT summer collection, SU red and Pink, tempting Turquoise as well. SU scallop punch, Clear Spica pens give it a shimmer.

Another MFT Pattern Paper choice here, EK Success Border Punch, Paper studio brads, May Art Ribbons.

MFT paper, SU red and White, SU window punch and Scallop border punch, Paper Studio brads, SU ribbon, Cuttlebug swiss dot embossing folder.

As usual, voting will begin tonight around 8pm EST. in the SCS forum. Thanks for looking.

MFT Idol Contest- Week 2 - Masking

Here it is, my week 2 contest entry. This weeks theme is masking. I masked off the carrots that normally ride inside the wheelbarrow and added a cupcake. The grass was also masked. This gift set contains a card, a Petaloo Magnetic Gift Tag, and an Altered Shopping list.
The card uses the new MFT Summer collection designer paper paper. Red Riding hood CS and chocolate CS, along with Pink Pirouette CS. SU felt flowers, a prima, a paper studio glitter brad and colored with Copic markers.

I received this Petaloo Magnetic tag in one of my First MFT orders and it has taken me along time to use it. Its real cute with its scalloped edge.

Here is the outside cover of the shopping list. It also uses the MFT Summer paper. I picked this littleshopping list from a shopping trip over the holidays to Pier 1 Imports. I had intended to alter it some day and today was the day. Here is a shot of the inside too.

I hope you enjoy my little project for this week. Voting begins at 10pm EST on SCS in the MFT forum.

Welcome home Sugar

The worlds biggest rabbit hutch is finally finished and today was move in day. He is scared to death right now and doesn't know what to think about it but he needs to get used to it fast because he is no longer a house rabbit. I think he will be fine. there is shade and protection from the elements and it backs up to the north side of the shed so there will be protection from the wind. He looks slightly disgruntled about it right now but it will get better soon.
Next up, Rosie moves in. It won't be until later though because DD had to work at 5 and won't be home until late tonight. She will get her walking papers tomorrow!
Woohooo for me!

MFT Idol Contest

Okay so I normally don't enter contests and stuff because I hate losing, but $250.00 of MFT is at stake and well that's just more than I can resist! I made a Book log/library journal, a bookmark, and a Gift card holder. My inspiration was the little reading Flopsy. I can not tell you how many times I have gone to the store, bought a book and when I sit down to read, I discover I have already read it! So what I decided I needed was a journal to keep track of my books. After I started making it I realized it would have been nice to have around when my kids would need to keep a reading log at school. It was very simple to just print some pages with lines and columns so that's what I did.
This is a giant paper clip with chipboard covered in matching papers that I plan to use as a bookmark. It was hard to photograph so I put it on a card so you could see it better.

Then I got kind of excited and decided that a Barnes and Noble gift card would be a great gift to go with this set and then I would give it as a gift instead of keeping it for myself. So I needed a card for that.

This is the inside, I made a little pocket to slide a gift card in.

I hope you like my little project and if I make the top ten, please vote for me.

SCS sketch plus MFT

Ok, I turned the SCS sketch sideways for this one because I wanted to use this image. My question is this, Is this Idol Worthy? MFT is having a contest and I feel like this is good but I can't be sure its good enough. I just don't know. I am on a time crunch today and not sure I have time to keep trying.

Another MFT challenge

I am trying to win gift certificates for stamps whenever I can so I am submitting as many challenges as I can. LOL. There is no harm in trying. This weeks Who's that girl challenge was to use the Digital girl set and sew on the card. Well, I didn't own the set so I substituted the eGirl set. Then I realized I put the card together without sewing on it!!! What a dork! I faux sewed instead! There was now way I wasting all that hard work! The image was colored with my Copic markers......I am getting 17 more today! WoooHooo! The prices on Copics are now fixed and no one will be able to sell them at a discount so I had to get a few more in the colors I was lacking. I know I still needed more neutrals but I was out of money so it is what it is and I will make do for now. I am hoping to try out for the MFT Idol contest soon. Get ready to see MFT images galore. I don't have very many sets right now so there may be some duplicate usage going on. The grand prize will be a 250.00 gift certificate to use in the MFT store so I really want to win!
